　　Since biomass boilers use biomass fuels and their characteristics are different from fossil fuels, the extinguishing mechanism, response speed and composition of extinguished products during the extinguishing process of biomass fuels are very different from the extinguishing characteristics of fossil fuels.

　　The extinguishing process of biomass fuel is divided into two stages: volatile matter and extinguishment, and coke extinguishment and burnout. After the biomass fuel is sent into the extinguishing chamber, under the action of high temperature, the fuel is heated and moisture is precipitated. Due to the increase in temperature of the fuel, around 250 degrees Celsius, thermal synthesis begins, and volatiles are precipitated to form coke. The gaseous volatiles mixed with high-temperature air are ignited and then extinguished. Under normal circumstances, the coke is surrounded by volatile matter, and it is difficult for the oxygen in the quenching chamber to penetrate the surface of the coke. When the quenching of the volatile matter is about to end, the temperature of the coke and its surroundings is already very high, and the oxygen in the air may also touch the surface of the coke. The coke began to go out, and ash was produced from time to time.
