The world's largest single-axis thermal power plant Yangxi No. 5 put into operation

　　On July 7, Unit 5 of Yangxi 1240MW Phase II Project, which was contracted by Shanghai Electric Power Plant Group, successfully completed a 168-hour full-load trial operation. So far, the world's largest single-shaft full-speed thermal power unit with the largest single-machine capacity has been declared commercial operation.

　　The three main equipments of the project are all independently developed by Shanghai Electric, with completely independent intellectual property rights. The technical line makes full use of the serialization and modular design concept to optimize the unit parameters and capacity. The unit performs well in terms of reliability and performance, and its data has reached the international leading level. After the unit is put into operation, it will effectively alleviate the power supply tension in western Guangdong and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
